Program Overview
“A distinguished fee-based program taught in English and operating under the Credit Hour System.”
The Agro-Biostatistics and Data Analysis Program was developed in response to the rapid growth of digitalization and the increasing use of technology in education and agriculture. The program aims to provide students with the scientific and practical skills needed to keep pace with modern developments in the agricultural sector and meet the changing needs of the labor market.
The program also supports the development of university education by providing a modern agricultural program that follows quality assurance and accreditation standards. It focuses on preparing graduates to contribute effectively to the sustainable development of the agricultural sector at both the local and international levels.
The Agro-Biostatistics and Data Analysis Program is a distinguished fee-based program taught in English and operates under the Credit Hour System. It was approved by Ministerial Decree No. (36), dated January 5, 2022, based on the approvals of the Sohag University Council, the Agricultural Studies Sector Committee, and the Supreme Council of Universities.
Program Vision
The program aims to prepare highly qualified agricultural professionals at the national, regional, and international levels, equipped with the scientific knowledge, technical skills, and competencies required by the National Academic Reference Standards for the Agricultural Sciences Sector and the needs of the local labor market.The program also seeks to conduct applied scientific research in the fields of agricultural biostatistics, data analysis, and related disciplines, while remaining open to global developments through the English language and the digital world.Furthermore, the program serves as a center of expertise by providing scientific and technical consultancy that contributes to environmental development and supports the local community in Sohag.
Program Mission
The program aspires to graduate highly qualified professionals in agricultural statistics and data analysis, equipped to compete in local, Arab, and international labor markets and capable of innovation and continuous development.It seeks to meet the growing demand for this emerging specialization, promote the use of applied agricultural biostatistics in production, marketing, agricultural processing, research, and policy-making, and contribute to sustainable development.The program also aims to establish strong connections with relevant academic and professional institutions at the national, regional, and international levels.
Program Objectives
The program aims to prepare graduates who are highly qualified in agricultural biostatistics and data analysis, equipped with modern statistical methods, software, and practical skills that meet the needs of the local and international labor markets.
It integrates theoretical knowledge with practical training through partnerships with relevant institutions, companies, and organizations, while encouraging applied research, scientific collaboration, workshops, conferences, and continuous professional development.
The program also seeks to provide scientific and technical expertise to the public and private sectors, support farmers, producers, and investors, and promote applied research and innovation that contribute to solving agricultural and environmental challenges and achieving sustainable development, in accordance with national quality assurance and accreditation standards.

يقوم الطالب بدراسة 144 ساعة معتمدة.
لغة الدراسة فى البرنامج هى اللغة الإنجليزية فى جميع مستويات الدراسة
يمنح البرنامج درجة البكالوريوس فى مجال الإحصاء الحيوى الزراعى وتحليل البيانات
الساعات المعتمدة موزعة على اربعة مستويات دراسية تتضمن 8 فصول دراسية على الأقل.
يوجد تدريب صيفى داخل معامل ومزارع الكلية للطلاب الناجحين فى المستوى الثانى لمدة 4 أسابيع.
يوجد تدريب صيفى للطلاب الناجحين فى المستوى الثالث فى الجهات ذات الصلة خارج الكلية مثل:
هيئات ومكاتب الحجر الزراعى بالموانى والمطارات المصرية
مراكز البحوث الزراعية
مراكز التنبؤ بالارصاد الجوية
جهاز تحسين وحماية البيئة
مراكز الإستشعار عن بعد
هيئة علوم البحار والمصايد
معهد الإحصاء بجامعة القاهرة
