About Library
The Postgraduate Library was established in 2008 and equipped with the necessary furniture, including chairs, tables, and open shelves. It is also equipped with two air-conditioning units and vertical blinds.
The library houses foreign-language books covering all scientific disciplines within the Faculty of Agriculture. It also contains master’s and doctoral theses, scientific journals published by Faculties of Agriculture at Egyptian universities, and specialized international periodicals in agricultural sciences.

Digital Library and Library Automation Project
Digital Library and Library Automation Project
The main objective of the Digital Library and Library Automation Project is to automate library operations at Egyptian universities and connect these libraries through the Egyptian Universities Network. These automation and networking processes aim to create a unified catalogue of library holdings using the MARC 21 cataloguing format, thereby maximizing the utilization of library services and eliminating unnecessary duplication of holdings and operations.
Key Achievements of the Project at the Library
Approximately 5,980 items from the Faculty of Agriculture Library’s collection have been entered into the digital library system, including:
5,195 books
320 university theses
465 scientific periodicals
These records are managed through the Future Library Management System, which is part of the Digital Library Project.
Barcodes have been affixed to all library holdings.
Online searching of the library’s collections has been activated through the following link: www.eulc.edu.eg.
Automated circulation and inventory management have been implemented through the digital library system.
All library staff have received training on using the digital library system and searching international databases.
The library has been equipped with three computers, a printer, and a barcode reader.
