class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Mechanism for Distributing Successful First-Level Students among New Credit-Hour Programs<\/p><ol><li><p>Students are distributed among the different programs according to their preferences stated in the <strong>Program Preference Form<\/strong>, provided that they meet the admission requirements of the selected program, through an internal college placement process, in accordance with <strong>Article (14), Page (9) of the Faculty Regulations<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>The maximum number of students admitted to each program shall be <strong>20% of the total number of students who sit for the June examination<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Students who are promoted with failed courses shall participate in the initial program placement process, which is conducted during <strong>August<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>The minimum number of students required to open a program is <strong>five (5) students<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>If the number of applicants exceeds the maximum capacity of a program, students shall be ranked according to their <strong>overall grade scores<\/strong>. In case of a tie, the grades of the qualifying courses shall be considered, starting with the <strong>basic prerequisite course<\/strong>, followed by the <strong>related prerequisite course<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Students may submit their program preferences starting from <strong>August 1 for one full month<\/strong>, either electronically or in paper form.<\/p><\/li><li><p>A committee shall be formed under the chairmanship of the <strong>Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs<\/strong>, comprising the academic advisors of the first level, department heads, the Director of Student Affairs, and the staff member responsible for student affairs. The committee shall review the program preference forms submitted by students promoted to the second level.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Students may transfer from one program to another within <strong>two weeks of announcing the program placement results<\/strong>. At the end of this period, the same committee shall convene to consider transfer requests. A transfer shall be approved if the student meets the requirements of the requested program. If the number of transfer applicants exceeds the program&#8217;s maximum capacity, students shall be ranked according to their overall grades, followed by the grades of the specialization courses (<strong>basic prerequisite, then related prerequisite<\/strong>) until the maximum capacity is reached. Remaining applications shall be rejected.<\/p><\/li><li><p>If the number of students in a program falls below its maximum capacity after the transfer process, the students who were previously excluded from that program shall be notified and may be reassigned to it if they wish.<\/p><\/li><li><p>Students who successfully complete the <strong>summer semester<\/strong> shall be distributed according to the same conditions among programs that have not reached their maximum capacity, based on their preferences. Once the results are announced, preference forms shall be collected for <strong>three days<\/strong>, after which the committee shall meet to distribute the students. Students shall then be given <strong>two days<\/strong> to request transfers.<\/p><\/li><li><p>If a student fails to complete the program selection process, the committee shall assign the student to one of the programs that have not reached their maximum capacity, based on the student&#8217;s grades in the qualifying courses. The student shall be assigned to the program corresponding to the <strong>highest grade among the qualifying courses<\/strong>.<\/p><\/li><li><p>The number of students in a program may exceed the maximum permitted capacity if two or more students have <strong>equal overall grades<\/strong> and equal grades in the qualifying courses (<strong>basic prerequisite, A student must attend at least <strong>75% of the total sessions of each course<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"auto\">Based on the recommendation of the relevant Department Councils, the Faculty Council may prevent a student from taking the final written examination in courses in which the required attendance percentage has not been met. In such cases, the student is considered to have failed the course and receives a zero grade for the final examination, similar to a student who misses the examination without an acceptable excuse.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"auto\">If the student submits an excuse accepted by the Faculty Council, the absence is considered an <strong>excused absence<\/strong>, in accordance with the following provisions of the Universities Organization Law:<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Article (80):<\/strong> If a student is unable to take an examination due to a compelling excuse accepted by the Faculty Council, the absence shall not be considered a failure, provided that the student does not miss the examination more than twice, consecutively or separately, during the two academic years of study at the Faculty. In cases of necessity, the University Council may grant the student a third opportunity. A student who misses an examination without an acceptable excuse shall be considered to have failed with a <strong>Very Poor<\/strong> grade.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\" dir=\"auto\"><strong>Article (83):<\/strong> The student&#8217;s overall grade for each academic year shall be calculated according to the grades obtained, provided that the grade in a course previously failed or missed without an acceptable excuse does not exceed <strong>Pass<\/strong>. Under this article, a student may be <strong>prevented from taking all or part of an examination<\/strong> if their attendance is deemed unsatisfactory. In such cases, the student shall be considered to have failed the courses for which they were not permitted to take the examination.<\/li><li>If a student&#8217;s absence from practical sessions exceeds <strong>25%<\/strong> and the student submits a medical excuse, they must submit a request to the <strong>Student Affairs Administration<\/strong>. The request is then referred by the Dean of the Faculty to the <strong>Director of the University&#8217;s Medical Administration<\/strong>, who conducts a medical examination and determines whether the medical excuse is accepted for the period of absence specified in the attached medical report.<\/li><li>The <strong>Faculty Council<\/strong> may suspend a student&#8217;s enrollment for up to <strong>two academic years<\/strong> if the student does not provide an acceptable excuse preventing regular attendance. In cases of necessity, the <strong>University Council<\/strong> may extend the suspension period beyond this limit.<\/li><li>If the medical excuse is approved, the student&#8217;s absence shall be <strong>waived<\/strong>. If the excuse is not approved, the matter shall be referred to the <strong>Faculty Council<\/strong> to take the necessary measures to prevent the student from taking the <strong>written examinations<\/strong> in the course in which the student&#8217;s absence exceeds the permitted
